Protect Black Freedoms Teach- Ins

a self-paced, pre-recorded Teach-In Series.

Originally recorded as a multi week virtual series in fall 2024.

We facilitated this Black-led learning space to give an introduction to the Protect Black Freedoms Campaign.

Engage this 7 videos series as a learning tool and to better understand the vision NC BLOC and its eco-system hold for a world where we all thrive.

Protect Black Freedom Network

Access to a Black-led virtual community where you have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with others engaging the teach-ins to ask questions, explore concepts and build alignments.
  • Learn about upcoming action and alternatives in our eco-system
  • Build cross movement solidarity in a member access only space
  • Find local organizations and movements near you looking

This offering is made asking for your solidarity contribution of at least $5. If you can afford to contribute more, then we ask you to. Your contribution allows us to:

  • Maintain our ongoing rapid response efforts like mutual aid and emergency funding for our member orgs
  • Curate practice spaces where we can offer intergenerational skill building, political education and organizing spaces at no cost to organizers, changemakers and advocates
  • Create community alternatives that meet critical needs like food, land and reproductive justice

If $5 is not sustainable for you please email [email protected] for access to this space.

ALIGNMENT + SOLIDARITY = POWER

Since January 2025 we have watched ruthless billionaires strip away the already insufficient and crumbling social services that many of our beloved communities depend on. They are creating more and more barriers to access the hoarded resources we need to continue resourcing our member organizations, mutual aid funds and rapid response efforts. We are experimenting with different ways that we can raise the material resources these systems demand in ways that:

  • Free us from funders who do not care about our beloved communities
  • Give us the freedom to respond to the emerging needs of community with ease
  • Plan sustainable and resilience movements
