North Carolina Black Leadership and Organizing Collective (NC BLOC) is an NC formation composed of Black-led organizations, businesses, and community leaders who are dedicated to implementing community based strategies focused on doing just that.

Who is NCBLOC membership for???

  • It is open to Black individuals, leaders, healers, etc., and Black-led grassroots, grasstop, businesses, co-ops, farmers, and other types of formations from across NC who are committed to shifting the social, political, economic, and material conditions of Black and Poor, Poor working-class communities in NC. 

 

  • The NC BLOC coordination team supports our members in developing their leadership, skills, and ability to advance their work through relationship building, capacity development, healing and cultural offerings, political education, amplification, and resource mobilization. 
    • As an org, your members will also have access to NC BLOC as a member; it’s not just for leaders. 
    • For individuals, all levels are welcome. 


NC BLOC Membership is dues-based (yearly), starting at  $25, based on the individual or organizational annual income. Note- anyone who is experiencing financial hardship can still join. We can barter skills or time; if this is you, please don’t shy away- contact [email protected]

  • Ecosystem-Wide Calls- On the 4th Wednesday of each month, we host a political education session from 6- 7:30. It is open to folks in our broader ecosystem [sign up- link] 

We are here to support the work you are doing.

We focus on the support of Black-led institutions and leaders to gain deep alignment by developing a shared vision, values, agreements, commitments, and political orientation around being Black, Black-led, addressing anti-Blackness, and Black-Liberation.
