North Carolina Black Leadership and Organizing Collective (NC BLOC) is a statewide formation composed of strong, publicly-active, left, Black-led base-building, frontline organizations, culture bearers, artists and community changemakers.

In our tenth year as a formation, we continue to remain firm in our commitment to shifting the material conditions of Black people, non Black People of Color, poor and working class communities in North Carolina and Beyond. 

As a network, NC BLOC has 55+ grassroots member organizations representing 30 counties across NC.

We seek to serve individuals, collectives and organizations with aligned values and priorities, focused on shifting the material conditions of Black and underestimated communities across North Carolina. 

As a Black-led, organization we serve in honor of the legacy of radical Black Feminist, Queer and Trans, Black and Indigenous Liberation Movements. We are in solidarity with all Liberation Movements across this planet. Our shared principled struggle prepares us for a future where we all have the freedom to heal, love and thrive. 

We believe in collective decision making. As a member-led organization we use ongoing assessments, relational organizing and one-on-one collaboration with members to be emergent and radical experimenting with solutions like: 

- regranting & grant writing support

- political education

- leadership development 

- direct action support and training

- access to mutual aid 

- rest and care spaces

- intergenerational gatherings
