This statewide gathering will be an opportunity to learn more about NC BLOC’s Freedom Papers, the Protect Black Freedoms Campaign, and opportunities to build with NC BLOC. This is a time to connect with other changemakers, organizers, and communities across NC.

Protect Black Freedoms is a campaign focused on shifting the material conditions of Black, poor, and working-class communities across North Carolina through community building, relational organizing, alternative building, and civic engagement. This campaign is committed to centering the needs of our people and building communities that can heal and be heard.

These gatherings are for Black people, organizations/collectives that are aligned with or committed to aligning with NC BLOCs liberatory values, those who believe culture and relational organizing are the heart of social change, and those who care about co-creating equitable campaigns that work to dismantle systems of oppression and build liberating alternatives.

NC BLOC strives to center the well-being of all participating in our programs and activities. It collaborates with members and participants to meet their access needs. This includes ensuring events are Covid-19 Safer events, we will provide rapid COVID tests, KN95 masks, and hand sanitizer and using spaces accessible to wheelchairs and mobility devices.
